Last night I waited for the news just to hear one word on the missing nineteen year old from Alabama, Aniah Blanchard. Then I had to check on the missing five year old. also in Alabama. Only to learn remains had been found in a nearby city. I just felt sort of disturbed because a few days before the student from Clark Atlanta, Alexis Crawford’s body had been found. Her twenty-one year old roommate and her boyfriend were arrested for her murder. The previous week three year old Kamille “Cupcake” McKinney was found dead in a dumpster and currently Taylor Rose Williams, five years old is believed to be dead.
I just kept on thinking why Lord ….Why would anyone hurt all these beautiful children and take their lives. As I watched the news reports of all the evil and the tears rolled down my face and my heart became heavy. I began to pray for all those still missing and those that are with our heavenly father. I continued to pray for the souls of the individuals still missing and the ones that committed these atrocities. My ex-husband’s family was even affected recently with his nineteen year old cousin being shot in the back of his head. These senseless murders happening all around us on a daily basis are taken a toll on us. I thought what could we do beside pray for them. For one we could report things that are unusual, or alarming. We could watch out for the children playing in our community. We could talk to our young people about being careful and looking over their shoulders. What are our choices when it comes to evil? Well…It looks as if praying for protection over our love ones may not seem to be enough, but we have to keep the faith. Knowing and believing that your prayers are heard and will continue to be heard, so be encouraged in the Lord.
I pray for the families and even the minds of the individuals who are committing these horrible crimes against children and young women. I am praying Ibraheem Yezeed tells where Aniah Blanchard is whether died or alive. I am praying for the families of their victims and for them to atone for their crimes.
Keep your love ones in prayer and be safe. God bless and keep you all safe.
