OUR MISSING CHILDREN AND THE VIOLENT TIMES WE LIVE IN TODAY By Paula Belizaire

Last night I waited for the news just to hear one word on the missing nineteen year old from Alabama, Aniah Blanchard. Then I had to check on the missing five year old. also in Alabama. Only to learn remains had been found in a nearby city. I just felt sort of disturbed because a few days before the student from Clark Atlanta, Alexis Crawford’s body had been found. Her twenty-one year old roommate and her boyfriend were arrested for her murder. The previous week three year old Kamille “Cupcake” McKinney was found dead in a dumpster and currently Taylor Rose Williams, five years old is believed to be dead.

I just kept on thinking why Lord ….Why would anyone hurt all these beautiful children and take their lives. As I watched the news reports of all the evil and the tears rolled down my face and my heart became heavy. I began to pray for all those still missing and those that are with our heavenly father. I continued to pray for the souls of the individuals still missing and the ones that committed these atrocities. My ex-husband’s family was even affected recently with his nineteen year old cousin being shot in the back of his head. These senseless murders happening all around us on a daily basis are taken a toll on us. I thought what could we do beside pray for them. For one we could report things that are unusual, or alarming. We could watch out for the children playing in our community. We could talk to our young people about being careful and looking over their shoulders. What are our choices when it comes to evil? Well…It looks as if praying for protection over our love ones may not seem to be enough, but we have to keep the faith. Knowing and believing that your prayers are heard and will continue to be heard, so be encouraged in the Lord.

I pray for the families and even the minds of the individuals who are committing these horrible crimes against children and young women. I am praying Ibraheem Yezeed tells where Aniah Blanchard is whether died or alive. I am praying for the families of their victims and for them to atone for their crimes.

Keep your love ones in prayer and be safe. God bless and keep you all safe.

THE CHRISTIAN STRUGGLE

Many of us struggle to live a christian life. Some of us want to move closer to live a godly life. Others know the Lord and still have their challenges. Then there are some that just refuse to trust that God is in control. Trusting people is hard enough, trusting the unknown would naturally present barriers for anyone with little knowledge of Christ. I know from my own struggles that forces work against us on a daily basis. I am human and subject to mistakes, errors if you will. Christian man and women are human, but held to a higher standard, still subject to sin and behavior that is not christian like. People who are not quite there need encouragement in order to conquer the things that hold them back. I hear so many people say, ” They are saved”, but are full of animosity, jealousy, and envy. I know for certain without opening my bible, that these are not characteristics of Christianity.

For the last few days I have been experiencing the devil at work. To my readers…. Have you ever experienced doubt that you could live a christian life? Have people judged you for your past attempts? Let me tell you with no uncertainty, that this is wrong. The struggles that you go through is between you and your God.

The bible does tell us, “Those without sin among you, let him first cast a stone.” In the verses prior to this, Jesus is witnessing the anger of the scribes and Pharisees who brought a women before him. She had been caught in the act of adultery. Jesus pondered over the situation and they waited for him to answer. Sitting in judgement is not our responsibility, but in the hands of our father.

When it comes to the christian struggle, we must allow God to be their judge and jury. After all it is not our salvation in jeopardy, not to say we should not be concerned. As a devoted christian one must witness and teach by example, especially if you want others to follow. The salvation of others comes with entering into the ministry. Tasking yourself by sitting in judgement helps whom? Not the struggling christian, Not the cheating wife, Not the gossiping old lady that sits in the front row every Sunday. All of these are God’s people and some do struggle.

Again, I am not in the ministry, but what I do have at this moment is a passion to know God. I hope to share Him and maybe with prayers, the word of God, and the holy spirit, it will allow me to know my father more intimately. That should be the desire of ever Christian. Be blessed….

THIS IS THE DAY….

YES, This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. -Psalm 118.24 (NKJV)

Good Morning! This journey of writing again has awoken me, my spirit feels alive. Today….Let us be productive and a blessing to someone else. I know that saying you are blessed makes us feel wonderful. Doing good works is being a blessing to someone else. Today, I challenge you not only to be productive, but to be a blessing to someone. It does not have to be anything over the top, a small gesture, a kind word, or just reach out to someone you have not spoken to in a while.

Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify our Father which is in heaven.”

Introductions

I have always aspired to write even as a young teenager, I would write poetry and short stories. These stories would elevate my spirit, my consciousness, and it trained me to think objectively and logically. I believe that most people that develop a love for writing have an inner voice that has a need to be heard. There is something spiritual about putting things into words on paper, even if no one else ever gets to read them. Don’t be fearful to just take out a notebook and write. Dust of that laptop and type. Our experiences and feelings are apart of who we are and makes us unique individuals. Exposing us to obstacles, joys, misfortunes, and a host of woes that can sometimes wear us down. I can testify to all of the above and it is through my faith and my writing that I have developed a strong sense of self. I am far from perfect, no pedestal to be placed beneath my feet. I have made decision that have not always turned out to be in anyone’s best interest. I have always been a person that tried to do the right things, but our choices can haunt us, or through honest reflection it can change us for the better. I decided to develop this blog because I want others to dig deep and find what holds you down and prevents you from reaching your fullest potential. I know so many individuals that let their misfortunes weight them down to the point where it stagnates us. The key is DELIVERANCE.. I longed for a word to attach to this ability to let go and let God, but in conversation with my Aunt Margret, it hit me. That truly to let go and let God, we have to pray for Deliverance. You will know when you truly have faith and trust in the lord. He will cast all those worries away.

From where my strength has come… I called my blog “ONE HEART” because I suffered five heart attacks and I am just fifty-one years of age. I realize that God has left me here on earth for a particular reason and I am blessed each day with no worries. I am not afraid to go because when God whispers to my heart, I have no choice. Meanwhile, I would like to write and tell somebody what God has done for me.

From the beginning I have always felt blessed. Being able to purchase my first home at twenty-eight in the City of New York. After a failed attempt at marriage, I had to rely on God for my strength. In turn God blessed me with promotions on my job and a home for my child. I am not going to say that any of this came without tears, or heartbreak. What it did bring was prayer and trusting that God would provide. I did not have a husband any longer, but God was more than any husband could ever be. The absences of companionship was apparent, but my heart took comfort that my Lord God would not forsake me and I would never abandon my love for him. Man had that ability, but the unconditional love of God is what covered me each night. My worries were carried for me and the weight did not hold me down like heavy bricks on the backs of men and women with no faith in God. How could I doubt that there was indeed a greater power when my help cometh from the Lord. The bible tells us in Psalm 121, I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. ” I believe truly that my heavenly father has the power to avenge anything that the devil could create for me. I am not saying at all that I lived an exemplary life, or christian life at all times because that would be so far from the truth. What I would like to convey is that the spirit of the Lord in all his glory can deliver us from any obstacle and provide the wholeness even when we may not have all that we desire. I trust in thee and although, my body may fail me in regard to my heart disease and any other affliction that may come, I will remember Job and hold fast to what I know to be true.
