Many of us struggle to live a christian life. Some of us want to move closer to live a godly life. Others know the Lord and still have their challenges. Then there are some that just refuse to trust that God is in control. Trusting people is hard enough, trusting the unknown would naturally present barriers for anyone with little knowledge of Christ. I know from my own struggles that forces work against us on a daily basis. I am human and subject to mistakes, errors if you will. Christian man and women are human, but held to a higher standard, still subject to sin and behavior that is not christian like. People who are not quite there need encouragement in order to conquer the things that hold them back. I hear so many people say, ” They are saved”, but are full of animosity, jealousy, and envy. I know for certain without opening my bible, that these are not characteristics of Christianity.
For the last few days I have been experiencing the devil at work. To my readers…. Have you ever experienced doubt that you could live a christian life? Have people judged you for your past attempts? Let me tell you with no uncertainty, that this is wrong. The struggles that you go through is between you and your God.
The bible does tell us, “Those without sin among you, let him first cast a stone.” In the verses prior to this, Jesus is witnessing the anger of the scribes and Pharisees who brought a women before him. She had been caught in the act of adultery. Jesus pondered over the situation and they waited for him to answer. Sitting in judgement is not our responsibility, but in the hands of our father.
When it comes to the christian struggle, we must allow God to be their judge and jury. After all it is not our salvation in jeopardy, not to say we should not be concerned. As a devoted christian one must witness and teach by example, especially if you want others to follow. The salvation of others comes with entering into the ministry. Tasking yourself by sitting in judgement helps whom? Not the struggling christian, Not the cheating wife, Not the gossiping old lady that sits in the front row every Sunday. All of these are God’s people and some do struggle.
Again, I am not in the ministry, but what I do have at this moment is a passion to know God. I hope to share Him and maybe with prayers, the word of God, and the holy spirit, it will allow me to know my father more intimately. That should be the desire of ever Christian. Be blessed….
